# Chinese dictionary

Look up any word by English, pinyin or characters, or draw it. Hear it, see its strokes, keep it.

## How do I look up a Chinese character I can’t type?

Press Draw and draw it in the box, stroke by stroke. The characters it could be show under the pad, best first; press one to look it up.

## Do I need to type the tones in pinyin?

No. yinhang, yin hang and yin2hang2 all find 银行; words with the tones you typed come first. Type v for ü, as in nv for 女.

## Can I look up a whole sentence?

Yes. Paste Chinese and every word in it is listed in order, each with the pinyin and meaning it has in that sentence: 行 in 银行 is bank, not to walk.

## How is this different from MDBG or Pleco?

Every word opens a card that speaks it, draws its strokes and shows it in real sentences, and one press keeps it in your Backpack, where Review brings it back with the line you met it in. Nothing to install, on any phone or computer.
