# 枫桥夜泊 Night Mooring at Maple Bridge

A traveller who can’t sleep on a boat outside Suzhou, frost in the air, and the midnight bell of Hanshan Temple reaching him across the water.

yuè月luò落wū乌tí啼shuāng霜mǎn满tiān天，

The moon sets, crows caw, frost fills the sky;

jiāng江fēng枫yú渔huǒ火duì对chóu愁mián眠。

river maples and fishing lights face my sleepless sorrow.

gū姑sū苏chéng城wài外hán寒shān山sì寺，

Outside the city of Gusu, from Hanshan Temple,

yè夜bàn半zhōng钟shēng声dào到kè客chuán船。

the midnight bell reaches the traveller’s boat.
