# 江雪 River Snow

A thousand empty mountains and one old man fishing alone in the snow: a poem written in exile, about holding on alone.

qiān千shān山niǎo鸟fēi飞jué绝，

Over a thousand mountains, no bird flies;

wàn万jìng径rén人zōng踪miè灭。

on ten thousand paths, no footprints.

gū孤zhōu舟suō蓑lì笠wēng翁，

In a lone boat, an old man in a straw cape and hat

dú独diào钓hán寒jiāng江xuě雪。
