# 借东风

Borrowing the East Wind

这年冬天，一个风平浪静的夜晚，曹操在大船上摆下酒席，奏起音乐，宴请众将。明月当空，江面上一片银光。曹操饮到半醉，手持长槊站起身来，对众将说：“我持此槊，破黄巾，擒吕布，灭袁术，平定袁绍，纵横天下，颇不负大丈夫之志。”说罢，放声高歌：“对酒当歌，人生几何！譬如朝露，去日苦多……”

过了几天，曹操观看锁在一起的战船操练，谋士程昱进言：“船都连在一起，固然平稳，但敌军若用火攻，就难以回避了，不可不防。”曹操大笑：“凡用火攻，必借风力。如今正是隆冬，只有西风北风，哪来东风南风？我军在西北，敌军都在南岸，他们若用火，烧的是自己的兵马，我怕什么？”众将都佩服地说：“丞相高见，众人不及。”

江南这边，周瑜站在山顶观望曹军营寨，忽然一阵风吹来，旗角拂过他的脸。周瑜猛然想起一件事，大叫一声，向后倒下，口吐鲜血，从此卧病不起。

鲁肃慌忙去找孔明。孔明来到帐中，说：“都督的病，我能医。”他让左右的人都出去，提笔写了十六个字：“欲破曹公，宜用火攻；万事俱备，只欠东风。”周瑜看了大惊，暗想：“孔明真神人也，早已知道我的心事！”便笑着问：“先生既然知道病根，该用什么药？”孔明道：“我曾遇异人，传授奇书，可以呼风唤雨。都督若要东南风，可在山上筑一座七星坛，我在坛上祭风，借三日三夜东南大风。”周瑜大喜，一跃而起。

到了二十日，孔明斋戒之后，登上七星坛焚香祷告，这一天上去三次，下来三次，却始终不见有风。周瑜对鲁肃说：“孔明说得太荒唐了，隆冬时节，哪来的东南风？”将近三更，忽听风声大作，旗幡转动，周瑜出帐一看，旗带竟向西北飘去。霎时间，东南风大起。

周瑜又惊又怕：“此人有夺天地造化之法，鬼神不测之术，若留着他，必是东吴的祸根！”当即派人去七星坛捉拿孔明。可孔明早已下坛走了，原来赵云奉命，早已驾着小船在江边等候。追兵赶来，赵云一箭射断对方船上的篷索，船帆落下，那船便横在江上，再也追不动了。

这时，黄盖带着二十只火船，船上装满芦苇干柴，浇上鱼油，盖上青布，乘着东南风直奔北岸。曹操在船头望见，大喜：“黄盖果然来投降了，天助我也！”程昱却看出了破绽：“船上若装着粮食，必定沉稳；这些船又轻又浮，这一定是诈降！”可惜为时已晚。

离曹军只有二里水面，黄盖举刀一挥，前面的船一齐放火。火趁风威，风助火势，二十只火船如箭一般冲进水寨。曹操的战船都被铁链锁在一起，无处可逃，一时间尽数着火，整个江面火光冲天，映得天地通红。这便是千古闻名的“火烧赤壁”。

张辽扶曹操跳上小船，逃到岸上，回头一看，百万大军只剩下几百人马。曹操连夜仓皇北逃，他却不知道，孔明早已在每一条退路上都布下了人马。
