# 喝断长坂桥

Zhang Fei at Changban Bridge

原来张飞只带了二十多名骑兵守在长坂桥。他见桥东有一片树林，想出一条妙计，叫这二十多人都砍下树枝，拴在马尾上，在林中来回奔驰，扬起漫天尘土，好像埋伏着千军万马。他自己则横矛立马，独自站在桥上，向西而望。

不多时，曹仁、张辽、许褚等大将先后赶到，只见张飞瞪着一双大眼，胡须根根竖起，手握长矛，立在桥头，又见树林后面尘土大起，都怕中了诸葛孔明的计，谁也不敢上前。

曹操得到消息，急忙赶来。张飞望见后军中有伞盖旌旗，料定是曹操来了，便厉声大喝：“我乃燕人张翼德也！谁敢与我决一死战？”声如巨雷，曹军听了，个个两腿发抖。曹操回头对左右说：“我曾听云长说过，翼德在百万军中取上将之首，如探囊取物。今日相遇，不可轻敌。”

话音未落，张飞又睁目大喝：“燕人张翼德在此！谁敢来决死战？”曹操见他如此气概，渐渐有了退意。张飞望见曹军阵脚移动，又挺矛大喝：“战又不战，退又不退，却是何故！”

喊声还没停，曹操身边的夏侯杰惊得肝胆碎裂，从马上栽了下来，当场气绝。曹操掉转马头便走，众将也一齐向西奔逃，丢枪落盔的不计其数，人如潮涌，马似山崩，自相践踏。曹操吓得连头冠都掉了，披头散发地狂奔，直到张辽、许褚追上来拉住他的马缰，才回过神来。张辽道：“丞相不必惊慌，张飞不过一人，有什么可怕的？”

张飞见曹军退去，便叫骑兵们取下马尾上的树枝，拆断桥梁，回去向玄德报功。玄德叹道：“三弟勇则勇矣，可惜失于计较。”张飞问是何故，玄德道：“曹操很有计谋。你不该拆断桥梁，他必定会追来。”张飞道：“他被我一喝，倒退了好几里，哪里还敢再追？”玄德道：“你若不拆桥，他怕有埋伏，不敢进兵；如今拆了桥，他便料定我们兵力不足，心里害怕，必定追来。他有百万之众，就是江河也能填平而过，岂会怕一座断桥？”

果然，曹操探知张飞已拆桥而去，笑道：“他拆了桥就走，是心里怕了。”当即传令连夜搭起三座浮桥，大军又追了上来。

玄德一行往江边奔逃，前无去路，后有追兵，正在危急之时，忽听山坡后鼓声大震，一队人马飞奔而来，为首一员大将，手提青龙偃月刀，正是关羽。原来他借来了一万兵马，特来接应，船只早已在江边备好。众人赶到江边上了船，这才转危为安，退到了夏口。

这时，江东的孙权听说刘表病故，派谋士鲁肃以吊丧为名前来，暗中打探虚实。孔明早已料到，对玄德说：“曹操势大，难以抵挡，不如与东吴联手，使南北相持，我们便可从中取利。”鲁肃来了，先问曹军虚实，孔明却故意说，玄德打算往南方远投旧友。鲁肃急道：“我们主公孙权礼贤下士，江东兵精粮足，何不与他结盟，共图大事？”孔明道：“事不宜迟，请让我随鲁肃走一趟。”于是孔明辞别玄德，只身随鲁肃乘船东去，要说服孙权与曹操一战。
