# Pinyin to Chinese

Type pinyin, with tones or without, and pick each word in Chinese characters, most common first.

## Typing pinyin

Type it as you say it: _nihao_, _ni hao_ or _ni3 hao3_. Tones are optional; a word with the tones you typed comes first. Type _v_ for ü, as in _nv_ for 女.

## Picking words

The words that sound like the start of your pinyin show under the box, longest and most common first, with their meaning. Press one, or Enter for the first, and it joins the Chinese.

## Your text
