Using the service
Mandarin The Wild, LLC provides tools for reading Mandarin and keeping words you choose to study. Use the service lawfully, follow the rules of any platform where you use it, and bring only material you have permission to process. Do not use it to access another person’s account, evade access controls, overload the service or interfere with other learners.
Your account and your words
Keep your sign-in methods secure. You retain your rights in the material you bring. You allow us to process that material to provide the reading, storage and study features you request. Saving a word keeps its surrounding passage in your account. You can download your words or delete your account from Account.
Meanings and learning
Word meanings, pinyin and interpretations can be incomplete or uncertain. The reader shows alternatives and unresolved readings where supported. Check important interpretations with an appropriate source or fluent speaker. The service does not certify proficiency or provide professional advice.
The ChatGPT plugin
Anonymous reading processes the passage you supply without saving it to your MTW account. Account connection is optional and requires your approval. A word reaches Backpack only after an explicit save. ChatGPT and other third-party platforms have their own terms and data controls, and their availability may change.
Availability and changes
We may maintain, update or restrict features to keep the service working and prevent misuse. Access may be interrupted, and a feature may be unavailable. No purchase or payment is made through the ChatGPT reader. If we offer a paid plan, its price and terms will be shown before purchase.
