Printable HSK word lists
Every word on the 2025 syllabus with pinyin and meaning, 30 to a page. Each level’s page also has it as a spreadsheet for Excel or Quizlet, a Pleco file and an Anki deck with audio.
Graded readings for every level
Short stories and articles written for each HSK level, read aloud in two voices. Students tap any word for its meaning.
Word cards for your class page
Every one of our 13,000 word pages ends with the code to put that word’s card on your own site or blog: the word, its pinyin, its meaning and a button that says it. See one for 喜欢.

Do students need an account?
No. The readings, word lists, word pages and tools are open to anyone. Only the Anki deck, and keeping words for Review, ask for a free account.
Can I print the lists and hand them out?
Yes. Print, copy and share them in class. The lists are CC BY-SA 4.0, so you can change them too, as long as you credit Mandarin The Wild and share your version the same way.
Which HSK list do these follow?
The 2025 HSK syllabus, used for the exam since July 2026. An older “HSK 3 list” is a different list.
