Who is this for?
Anyone learning Chinese to talk with a Chinese family: a partner’s parents, grandparents, cousins. Every sentence is from one of our Library stories about family life, at HSK 1 to 3, so the words are the ones said at home.
How does it work?
You hear a sentence, tap its words in the order you heard them (or type it in characters or pinyin), and see each word marked, with its pinyin and the English. Keep the words you missed, and Review brings them back.
Slow or normal?
Start on Slow (three quarters of the speed, same pitch). When you get most words right, switch to Normal, the speed the narrators read the whole story at.
Where can I hear the whole conversation?
Each sentence is cut from a family story in the Library, read in full by the same narrators: the Library’s family readings play from start to end.
