English (for the teacher)
On Thursday night, Niuniu couldn’t sleep.
At eleven o’clock, she heard: “Meow…”
Very small, very high. But Mimi was right there on her bed, asleep. So who was meowing?
Niuniu took her notebook and walked to Grandpa’s door. The sound was right inside!
“Grandpa, what’s in your room?”
The sound stopped. After a moment, Grandpa said, “It’s me! I, I’m singing.”
“Singing?”
So Grandpa began to sing: “Meow… meow…”
Niuniu laughed. Grandpa’s singing was really terrible.
She wrote in her notebook: night, Grandpa’s room, meow.
The next morning, Grandpa came out of his room. In his hand was Niuniu’s red cup!
