English (for the teacher)
At night we look at the moon, and what we see is always its front; never its back.
Every Chinese person knows Chang’e. People say Chang’e is a woman who lives on the moon. The craft China sends there are called “Chang’e” too.
On 3 January 2019, Chang’e 4 reached the back of the moon. It was a Thursday. It was the first time anything had ever worked there, and everyone was very happy.
In 2020, Chang’e 5 went to the moon, and moon soil came to China. Lots of people wanted to see it.
In 2024, the sixth Chang’e went to the back of the moon, and soil from there came to China too. Another first!
Chinese people want to go to the moon themselves, too. Would you like to go too?
