English (for the teacher)
On Saturday morning, the flat was very busy. Dad was making dumplings, Mum was on the phone, and Grandpa’s door still wasn’t open.
Mum asked, “Where’s Mimi?” Dad asked too, “Where is Mimi?”
Niuniu sat on her bed and said nothing.
Under the bed, there was something black: “Meow.”
Mum looked under the bed, then looked at Niuniu: “Niuniu, what are you doing?”
Niuniu burst into tears: “You can’t send Mimi away! Mimi is mine!”
Mum and Dad looked at her; neither of them understood.
After a moment, Mum burst out laughing: “Send Mimi away? No, no! We’re giving Mimi a new bed!”
Just then, Grandpa’s door opened.
Grandpa said, “Niuniu, come in.”
