English (for the teacher)
Our school lunches are good, but on Wednesdays there’s fish.
I don’t like fish.
Zhou Dong, who sits next to me, loves fish more than anything and doesn’t like vegetables.
We came up with a great plan: on Wednesdays, he eats my fish and I eat his vegetables.
The teacher looked at us. “You’ve both eaten everything!” “Very good!”
That evening, the teacher phoned my mum.
Mum was delighted. “Your teacher says you ate all your fish!” “So now you like fish!”
I didn’t know what to say.
The next evening, Mum cooked fish. The evening after that, the same again.
Mum smiled. “Have some more!”
On Wednesday, I said to Zhou Dong, “Do you want to come to my place for dinner?” “We have fish every day.”
