English (for the teacher)
Our cat loves to sleep.
In the morning, it sleeps on the bed. At noon, it sleeps on Dad’s computer. In the afternoon, it sleeps in Mum’s clothes.
In the evening while we eat dinner, it’s still asleep.
Mum says, “Look at it, asleep all day!” Dad smiles. “Lots of sleep is good for you!”
That night at three, I get up for a drink of water. I hear someone talking.
I switch on the light. The cat is sitting on the table, its eyes huge.
Dad is sitting next to it, holding a piece of meat.
A bite for the cat, a bite for Dad.
Dad looks at me and whispers, “Don’t tell Mum.”
The next morning, the cat is asleep on the bed. And Dad is asleep at his computer. Mum says, “Look at those two, asleep all day!”
