English (for the teacher)
Axiang wanted to ask Lili to a film. On Thursday evening, he practised alone in his room.
“Hello, Lili! Do you want to see a film?”
Nobody answered. His cat looked at him and walked off.
He went to find his mum: “Mum, listen: ‘Lili, do you want to see a film?’”
Mum smiled. “Very good. But your face is far too red.”
He said it twenty more times. “Do you want to see a film? Do you want to see a film?” Even at bedtime, he was still saying it.
The next day, at the school gate, Axiang saw Lili. His face went red again.
“Lili, do you… do you…”
Lili smiled. “Do you want to see a film? I’ve got two cinema tickets.”
Axiang said at once: “Do you want to see a film?”
Lili looked at him. “I’m asking you!”
“I want to! I really, really want to go!”
