爷爷和乐乐马上去了赵老师家。她家里很暖和，桌子上有一盘饺子。
“吃，快吃！”她自己的猫一天只吃一顿饭，可是来她家的人，都得吃饱。
爷爷低着头吃饺子，一句话也不说。
赵老师说：“星期天晚上六点，我给豆腐放了饭，可是它不吃。它跑进我的衣柜，躺在我的旧毛衣上。”
“我生气了。我说：‘你那么胖，不要把我的毛衣压坏了！明天也没有饭！’我把它抱出来，关上了衣柜。”
赵老师的眼泪又下来了：“它看了我很久，然后就出门了。是我的错。”
乐乐在本子上写：星期天，豆腐不想吃饭，想找一个又软又黑的地方。
电视里，天气预报说：“明天晚上，有大雪。”
赵老师听了，手里的饺子掉在了桌子上。
回家以后，乐乐睡不着。她打开手机，看她拍的那些照片，从第一张看到最后一张。
她一下子坐起来了。“爷爷！你看，豆腐的肚子，一天比一天大！”

Grandpa and Lele went straight round to Teacher Zhao’s. Her flat was warm, and there was a plate of dumplings on the table.
“Eat, go on, eat!” Her own cat got one meal a day, but anyone who came to her flat had to eat until they were full.
Grandpa kept his head down and ate his dumplings without a word.
Teacher Zhao said, “On Sunday evening at six, I put out Tofu’s dinner, but it wouldn’t eat. It ran into my wardrobe and lay down on my old sweaters.”
“I got angry. I said, ‘You’re so fat, don’t you squash my sweaters! And no dinner tomorrow either!’ I lifted it out and shut the wardrobe.”
Teacher Zhao’s tears started again. “It looked at me for a long time, and then it went out. It’s my fault.”
In her notebook Lele wrote: Sunday, Tofu didn’t want to eat. It wanted somewhere soft and dark.
On the TV, the weather forecast said, “Tomorrow night, heavy snow.”
When Teacher Zhao heard that, the dumpling in her hand dropped onto the table.
Back home, Lele couldn’t sleep. She opened her phone and went through the photos she had taken, from the first to the last.
Suddenly she sat up. “Grandpa! Look, Tofu’s tummy gets bigger every day!”
