Write 熊猫去外国 on the board. Ask what the class thinks it is about, then give the English: “Why does China send pandas to other countries?”.

Pandas belong to China. In the United States or Spain, you can see them too.
Were they gifts from China? No. Many live there for ten years. After ten years, they go back to China.
If they have a baby there, whose baby is it? It belongs to China too! When the baby is a little older, it also goes back to China.
Do people there have to pay China? Yes, a lot of money every year. China spends this money on the pandas in China.
Lots of people go to see them and love them. Many people say that when pandas go abroad, China makes a lot of friends too. This is called “panda diplomacy”.
