What changed from the third edition?
The fourth edition (2017) renamed the four books: Level 1 Part 1 and Part 2 became Volumes 1 and 2, and Level 2 Part 1 and Part 2 became Volumes 3 and 4. Each volume has ten lessons, with a textbook, workbook and character workbook, in simplified and traditional characters.
What level am I after this book?
Cheng & Tsui aims Volume 3 at ACTFL Intermediate Low to Intermediate Mid. The OPI practice test gives you a feel for an ACTFL interview, and the level test places you on the HSK in a few minutes.
