English (for the teacher)
On Tuesday morning, Grandpa shouted through the flat: “Where are my glasses?”
Grandpa is always looking for things. Mum always says, “They’re on your head!” Today, Mum took a look at Grandpa’s head. Nothing!
Niuniu opened her notebook: “Grandpa, don’t worry. I’m a little detective! Shall I go and look in your room?”
“No need! No need!” Grandpa shut his door at once. “You look out there.”
Niuniu asked Dad, and Dad said, “I haven’t seen them.” She asked Mum, and Mum said, “I haven’t seen them either.”
Niuniu looked under the table, behind the door and in Dad’s clothes, but they weren’t there.
In the end, by the front door, she found them. Grandpa’s glasses were in her shoe!
There were some white hairs on the glasses, very, very small.
Niuniu thought for a while. Mimi is a black cat; Mimi has no white hairs.
She wrote in her notebook: white hairs, very small, not Mimi’s.
Grandpa said, “Thank you! Thank you!” He took his glasses and went straight back to his room.
Niuniu looked at her shoe. How did Grandpa’s glasses get into her shoe?
