English (for the teacher)
Zhang Wei and I are online friends. We talk in Chinese on our phones every day, but we have never met.
Today I'm going to his home for the first time. He said, “My home is behind the school, Building 3.”
When I got to the school, I didn't know which way to go. I asked an old lady, “Excuse me, how do I get behind the school?”
She said, “Go straight ahead, and at the crossroads, turn left.”
I went straight ahead and turned left. There were lots of buildings here, and they all looked the same!
Next I asked a little boy, “Excuse me, where is Building 3?” He said, “On the right, next to the shop.”
There were two shops on the right. So I asked a man, “Excuse me, do you know Zhang Wei?”
The man looked at me and smiled. “I do.”
“Where is he?”
“Right in front of you.” “I'm Zhang Wei! I've been watching you here for ages.”
