English (for the teacher)
In the morning, when we see someone, we say "zǎoshang hǎo", or just one word: "Zǎo!" In the evening, when you see someone, you can say "wǎnshang hǎo". At bedtime, we say "wǎn'ān".
I'm six this year, and I can say all of these.
At seven in the morning, I get up. Dad comes home. I say, "Good morning, Dad!"
Dad says, "Good night!"
I look outside. "Dad, it's morning now!"
Dad laughs. "Dad is a doctor. Last night I worked at the hospital and didn't sleep." "Your morning is Dad's night."
Dad goes to bed.
At nine in the evening, I'm going to bed. Dad gets up; he has to go to work.
Dad sees me and says, "Good morning!"
This time I get it: Dad's morning has come.
I say, "Good morning, Dad!"
Then I say, "My night has come too." "Good night, Dad!"
