English (for the teacher)
On Wednesday evening, the family had fish for dinner. Dad likes it, Mum likes it, and Mimi likes it best of all. Grandpa doesn’t eat it; he says it doesn’t taste good.
Mum gave Mimi a little fish and put it by the door. Mimi went to have a drink first.
A little later, Mimi came to eat her fish. The fish was gone! Mimi was very cross and started yowling.
Niuniu opened her notebook: “Mimi, don’t be cross. I’m a little detective!”
She asked Dad, and Dad said, “Not me.” She asked Mum, and Mum said, “Not me either.”
She searched the flat. By Grandpa’s door, she saw a tiny fish head.
Mimi saw it too, sat down by Grandpa’s door and didn’t move.
Niuniu asked, “Grandpa, did you eat the fish?” From inside, Grandpa said, “Me? I don’t eat fish!”
Mum quickly gave Mimi some meat: “There, there, eat up.”
Niuniu wrote in her notebook: dumpling, fish head, both by Grandpa’s door.
What is in Grandpa’s room?
