English (for the teacher)
On Friday afternoon, Niuniu went upstairs to see Dawei.
Dawei’s mum saw her and smiled: “Niuniu, is that you? Come in, sit down.”
Dawei’s family has a white cat. Last month, the white cat had babies.
By Dawei’s front door there was a little bed. In the little bed were three kittens, all white.
Niuniu opened her notebook and wrote: white hairs, very small.
“Dawei, how many kittens do you have?”
“Three. No, four. No, no, three!”
“Where’s the other one?”
Dawei’s face went red: “It’s gone somewhere nice.”
“Where?”
“I can’t tell you! You’ll know on Saturday!” Dawei ran into his room and shut the door.
Saturday? Mum’s notebook said Saturday too!
