x: Between s and sh: the tongue tip rests behind the lower teeth and the lips stay spread, like a soft “sh”.
üe: üe starts from ü (“ee” with rounded lips) and opens to the e of “yes”.

Spelling
- After x, ü is written u without the dots: xue is xüe. j, q and x never take a plain u, so nothing is lost.
